Every profession starts with learning. You gain the knowledge and qualifications first, then build experience by applying what you have learned. With dogs, that order matters enormously: attempting to gain “hands-on experience” without first understanding behaviour, body language, learning theory and safe practice can have serious consequences for both dogs and people. BCCS courses give you that essential theoretical foundation — and when you’re ready to put it into practice, we offer opportunities to gain real-world experience too.

You’ll also find we have some incredibly experienced Students who have worked with dogs for decades in roles such as RVNs, Police, Military, Trainers, Rescue,  and Behaviourists. They understand CPD, Continous Professional Development, and the learning never stops.
