Delivery Schedule
Please allow 48 hours for your enrolment to be processed and for coursework to be sent out to you. If you enrol on a weekend or public holiday, your enrolment will be received and the enrolment process will begin on the first working day following.
Are the courses accredited and do they contribute towards Continued Personal Development?
The following courses are both PETbc accredited and carry CPD points/hours for anyone taking part in the Continuous Professional Development scheme; Level 3 Dog Behaviour & Level 4 Advanced Canine Behaviour.
How long are the courses?
It really depends on how much time you can devote to the course you’re on. On average, students manage to get through a unit per week. Some can do a unit in a day. Please see individual course descriptions for an approximate idea of length.
How do I enrol?
Complete the simple payment process via the relevant course page. This provides us with all the information we need to process enrolment, i.e. name, address, contact details. There are no lengthy or complicated registration forms to fill in. We will then contact you with the welcome information, along with your first unit within 48 hours. We have chosen to offer Paypal as our main payment processing system to give students peace of mind that their payment is protected. Paypal is the safest way to make online payments. You do not need to have a Paypal account to pay this way. Simply click on payment button as normal and complete your card details.
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer discounts to members of the armed forces and their families, veterinary professionals and existing students / graduates. Discount codes for each of these will be provided to eligible customers. Please note: Eligibility for any code used will be checked before enrolment packs are sent out. Should unauthorised code use take place, course materials will not be sent out and the enrolment fee will be refunded minus a £20 admin fee.
How are courses sent out?
All courses are online home study, with units being provided, and answers to be returned, via email.
*Please note: We have experienced a lot of issues with Hotmail addresses, with enrolment packs not being received. If you have not received your enrolment pack within 48 hours (not including weekends or holidays) please get in touch. We cannot be held responsible for any missing course materials if you do not get in touch after this period. Where possible, please provide an email address from an alternative provider for your study materials.
You can enrol at any time – there are no term or start dates – and complete the studies at your own pace within a two year time period from the date your enrolment is processed.
We do not offer a postal correspondence option.
Please note that units are not sent out to students all at once. In order to progress to the following unit, a PASS grade must be attained for the unit currently being studied.
Some courses involve a practical element which must be completed hands-on, face to face with your tutor. Unless otherwise stated, this will take place in and around the Midlands.
Is there an age limit?
Due to the complexity of course content, our programmes of study are aimed at adult learners only. Therefore, we regret that only students over 18 years of age are permitted to enrol.
I am not based in the UK. Can I still enrol?
Of course. We have students all over the world. When you proceed to the payment screen, Paypal will convert the amount payable to your local currency using today’s exchange rate.
How is student support offered?
Student support is email based as is the course provision and coursework submission. Your email will be answered within 24 hours and support is available 9am – 5pm Mon-Fri during term time.
Can I speak to my tutor by phone?
Unfortunately, due to the number of students we have, it would be impossible for individual tutors to answer course enquiries by phone. They would have no time left for teaching and marking! Therefore, we politely ask that all enquiries and questions are emailed.
What’s included in the price?
Where are practical examinations held?
Please see individual course descriptions for details of any practical units or examinations involved and where they will be held. Unless otherwise stated, any face to face examinations will take place in and around the Midlands for one full day. Practical examination dates will be arranged between student and tutor at a mutually convenient time when the student reaches that stage of the course. Practicals take place on weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm. Unfortunately we cannot offer weekend sessions.
I am a course author. Can I get my course provided by the BCCS?
Yes. Contact us to discuss submitting your course or course ideas.
Do you offer any other courses?
Courses are in development all the time so keep checking back to see what’s new.
